We were shocked and saddened at Philip's untimely death, and can only imagine how the family feel. In all our knowledge, meetings and dealings with him we found him to be a lovely, gracious, godly and wise man, who would help anyone at any time. He radiated Christ for whom he was a true Ambassador, and we have no doubt that he has already heard those words from his Heavenly Father saying "Well done, good and faithful servant". We can truly say that he has not so much 'died' - he will be more alive now than he has ever been - but that his long term travel arrangements have been brought forward. We know his loss will leave an incredible gap within the family, for whom he has been a rock to many and for many years, and we pray that the Holy Spirit's peace - that He alone can give - will prevail in the sadness.
